A much nerdier, but flexible and imaginative way to play sex games through text based computer games has been around for quite some time. Multi-user dimensions (MUDS), such as Shangrila, have taken this to a whole new level and users create their own anonymous character development around a society driven by pleasure. It's like a "choose your own ending" book from middle school, only for the typical sexually suppressed nerd (age 18+). Interestingly enough, more female nerds tend to play as well giving the game a bit more gender diversity (it also encourages herm/transgender play in a mostly liberal and accepting environment).

It's the ultimate underground - no face, no fuss and all the imagination and creativity you can possibly grind out of your current sexual fantasies. I find it all relatively intriguing.
