In 1999, I launched beautifultoxin, my first online diary and webcam, the shakticam. Ten years later, I’ve gone back into my archives of cam images for these prints. It’s commemorative. It’s one of the last places I’ll be naked on the internet.
Each image was captured live at thirty second intervals, with all lighting and color effects processed in long-forgotten apps like Webcam32 and Oculus. My favorite camera was the 3Com HomeConnect. My laptop at the time was a G3 PowerBook (WallStreet series), which was promptly stolen from me as soon as I moved to San Francisco.
